Yeah I agree I find way way to many nice moded weapons/focuses with lower than max energy ounce i found a rare frost artifact with the mods of improves skill recharge (20%) +25HP with a energy bonus of 7!! while the mods are leet the energy boost is laughable and trust me no one wants a non max energy focus no matter waht the stats are same goes with weapons I find many with great mods but with very low dmg, kinda makes you not want to ident the darn things and just sell them because who wants a sword with 10 - 15 dmg with +15%dmg while enchanted +25HP and enchantments last 18% longer no one does that who!!!

Yeah man no kidding. What's up with the recent female gladiator and ranger 15k armors that look like exotic dancers wearing a brown bikini? Seems like they have a new, more adventurous fellow designing the armors at ANet.

Not a lot of visible protection, eh?

Be great armor for the beach though, but still a high risk of sunburn...

So we'll accept Cloth Armors, Tattoos and Scars as affording acceptable protection but not that... alrighty.

Don't get me wrong, I would prefer something a little more... there.. but as with any of the 15k armors they are just a second option, so hopefully you like the 1.5k stuff more.

At least the tattoos can offer some protection from the sun...

sexy sells... it's a commercial rule. May offer -5 armor vs. physical and -7 vs. elemental but it offers a +20 vs. consumer indecision

well it is a take on male anciet glatiors armor, but since there was no female glaitors they had to be inventive.....and yes sex sells, why do you think there are so many girl charaters, there are not that many girls playing this game so that means they are played by 15 yr old boys looking up skirts....thats why all mine are male, i dont like being lumped into that demographic

There were female gladiators in ancient Rome, but not many.

Thanks for the attention, Lady Gray!

I LOVE the idea of more graphic only enhancements. It'd be great fun to try to find all the new items.

Have you considered some sort of XP bonus system for PvE'ers? Even a number or graphic by the character name / level would be very cool. It could be as simple as 20/07 instead of 20 to indicate that the character has rolled the XP bar 7 times after 20. Useless but it would give the PvE'ers a small sense of something happening after 20.

If you were feeling generous, you could even give players a perk at certain increments - pre-customized random weapon or even a unique looking armor set that you collect a piece at a time every so many levels. Just resist the urge to make it look like farmer's overalls!

Oh and: Gogo cape toggle switch!!

I just wanted to let all of you know that I read through this thread, and I understand what you're saying. It's a very difficult missions, really, to make a game that appeals, in equal measure, to those who play PvP only, PvE only, and a mix of the two. I believe that most of you do grasp the difficulty of the mission. And I think that most of you also know that we're working on this very hard, and we absolutely will not short one side of the equation in favour of the other.

We have a team who is working on all sorts of things. They may address Point A one day, and Point B another. But please know that we hear the concerns, and in fact we were discussing them just a few days ago. The challenge that I see, as a player and an admitted "cool item collector" type of player (when I'm PvEing) is that we do not intend to have overpowering items in the game. We aren't going to hand off hammers with 160 damage, or spells that kill everything within a 5 mile radius. PvE players might think "Why not? What does it hurt?" but Guild Wars is unique, and it is intended to appeal to, and be pleasurable for, both PvE and PvP players, and neither operates in a vacuum. Trust me, my PvE characters want the Bow of Burning with +1 gazillion fire damage, but getting that just isn't going to happen.

The bottom line is we're listening and we will address your concerns. I can't promise we'll address every concern with precisely the solution or suggestion that you've offered, but it's great of you to share your thoughts and always know that we consider this a high priority and an important goal.

Hope this helps
I'm glad that GW isn't go for the UBER weapons approach. GW is about skill.
